Nicotinamide (Food/USP Grade)

Functional additive for nutritional enhancement of B vitamins and regulation of cellular energy metabolism

Product Overview & Features

Functional additive for nutritional enhancement of B vitamins and regulation of cellular energy metabolism

Nicotinamide (niacinamide), is the amide form of vitamin B3 and is a water-soluble B vitamin. As a dietary supplement, nicotinamide is one of the important precursors of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺), which participates in key functions such as body cell metabolism and DNA repair. Compared with niacin, niacinamide does not have a "flushing" reaction caused by vasodilation. It is a non-flushing type of vitamin B3 and is more suitable for daily dietary supplementation. Niacinamide can be used as a nutritional fortifier in cereals and their products, milk drinks, soft drinks, fruit juice drinks, preschool formula powder, maternal formula powder and other food categories. In the human body, nicotinamide participates in lipid metabolism, oxidation of tissue respiration and glycogen decomposition. When lacking, it will affect the normal respiration and metabolism of cells. As a food supplement, nicotinamide has been approved for use in food supplements and foods for special nutritional purposes.

Product Applications

Energy Metabolism

Nicotinamide participates in the coenzyme composition of more than 400 enzymes in the body, supports the conversion of food into usable energy, promotes cell metabolism and DNA repair, and is an important nutrient for maintaining the body's normal energy metabolism.

Skin Health

Niacinamide helps maintain healthy skin and mucous membranes and supports skin barrier function. Oral nicotinamide can help resist skin damage caused by ultraviolet radiation, reduce the risk of solar keratosis, and improve skin inflammation such as acne.

Antioxidant Protection

Niacinamide has antioxidant effects, can inhibit the formation of free radicals, protect cells from oxidative stress damage, help maintain cell health and delay the decline of aging-related functions.

Intestinal Maintenance

Nicotinamide participates in energy homeostasis signaling in intestinal epithelial cells, helps maintain intestinal microbiota balance and intestinal barrier function, and has a protective effect on digestive system health.
