Product Overview & Features
Multifunctional skin care active ingredient for natural cell protection and barrier repair
Ectoine, also known as tetrahydromethylpyrimidinecarboxylic acid, is a cyclic amino acid derivative produced through a biological fermentation process. Its molecules have a highly polar structure. One molecule of ectoine can complex four to five water molecules, forming a stable "hydration protective shell" around cells to help resist external environmental pressure. It has been included in the "Catalogue of Used Cosmetic Raw Materials (2021 Edition)", with an applicable pH range of 4.0-8.0 and good water solubility. It can be combined with hyaluronic acid, panthenol, etc. to enhance moisturizing and repairing, and synergizes with vitamin C and niacinamide to enhance antioxidant and brightening properties. Applicable dosage forms include essences, creams, masks, sunscreen and cleansing products.
