Product Overview & Features
Naturally fermented, cooling, moisturizing and barrier-soothing light skincare polyol
Erythritol, also known as 1,2,3,4-butanetetraol, is a natural four-carbon sugar alcohol that naturally exists in seaweed, lichens, melons, grapes and other plants and fermented foods. It is industrially produced through a glucose fermentation process. Used as a moisturizer and conditioner in cosmetics, it has a better moisturizing effect than glycerin. It is also low in hygroscopicity and non-sticky, and can bring a light skin feel and a slight cooling feeling to the formula. Erythritol is stable under heat, acid, and alkali conditions and has a wide pH range. It can be used in combination with moisturizing and repairing ingredients such as sodium hyaluronate and panthenol. It is suitable for use in various dosage forms such as essences, creams, masks, cleansers, and care products.
