Niacinamide (nicotinamide), is the amide form of niacin and is a water-soluble B vitamin. In animals, it is a component of coenzyme I and coenzyme II and participates in mitochondrial respiration and carbohydrate, lipid and amino acid metabolism. As a feed additive, it can supplement nicotinic acid nutrition for pigs, poultry, ruminants and aquatic animals, promote energy utilization and protein metabolism, and improve intestinal health. Deficiency is similar to niacin deficiency. The product has good safety profile and is an effective source of niacin in animal nutrition.
