4,4'-Biphenol is also called 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl, commonly known as antioxidant DOD, with a melting point of 274-280°C. Its molecule contains two symmetrical phenolic hydroxyl groups, has active chemical properties, and is an important organic synthesis intermediate. In the pharmaceutical field, it is used as a key building block in the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and fine chemicals.
