Autumn is the season of harvest and the time to set sail. On August 21, as admission letters arrived, Hongda Group held its celebration for employees’ children entering higher education. Finance Director Wang Gang, Deputy General Manager Yang Yanhe, KunDa Production Manager Xie Jinguo, Hongda Production Manager Wang Shiwei, and more than 40 students and parent representatives attended.
The celebration was established in the year the Group was founded and has now been held for 20 consecutive years. This year, 32 employees’ children reached the undergraduate admission line, including two admitted to first-class universities under China’s 211 and 985 projects.
Wang Gang congratulated the students and thanked their parents for their hard work. He encouraged the future university students to keep the fighting spirit they showed in high school, continue learning, reduce time spent on electronic devices, gain knowledge from libraries and develop a lifelong learning habit. He also encouraged them to take part in extracurricular activities and build practical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills for future employment. After graduation, he hoped they would contribute their talents to their hometown and repay the care of their parents, teachers and society.
The students said they would cherish this hard-won opportunity, balance study and life, continue their education and become useful members of society. Wang Gang then presented scholarships, recognizing their academic achievements and encouraging their future lives.
