To carry forward the red spirit, promote patriotism, inspire a sense of mission and strengthen employees’ responsibility, Hongda Group organized the themed film activity “Remembering History, Drawing Strength” on October 23–24. More than 2,000 employees watched The Battle at Lake Changjin in groups.

Set against the Battle of Lake Changjin during the second campaign of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the film tells a stirring historical story. Seventy-one years ago, the Chinese People’s Volunteers fought in Korea under extremely cold and difficult conditions. With iron will and fearless courage, the troops on the eastern front pursued and defeated the enemy, changing the situation on the battlefield and demonstrating the strength and dignity of China.

During the screening, the audience’s emotions rose and fell with the story. The intense battle scenes were inspiring, while the scenes of the volunteer soldiers obeying orders, facing death without retreat and remaining at their posts even after freezing into ice brought many viewers to tears. When the song Yimeng Mountain Minor began, its beautiful melody, accompanied by the scenes of sacrifice, moved everyone present.

The activity gave all employees a profound education in party spirit and a powerful spiritual experience. They said they would remember history, carry forward the revolutionary spirit, cherish today’s good life, and devote themselves to their work with firmer ideals and fuller enthusiasm, contributing to the development of the company and society.
